How It Works

Community Project Contribution

Monthly volunteers $100USD / month

Every volunteer is asked to contribute $100 USD per month toward KSI’s community projects.

Short-term volunteering 7–10day visits welcome

You don’t need to stay for a month. Short-term volunteers make a Community Project Contribution based on the length of their visit and planned activities. The amount will be agreed with you before your arrival.

This is a Community Project Contribution, not a payment for volunteering. Your contribution helps KSI provide the materials, coordination and support needed for the projects you will be involved in, while also contributing to our ongoing work with children and young people.

Your $100 helps support

  • Project materials and supplies
  • Community activities
  • Local project transportation
  • Volunteer coordination and guidance
  • Small project-related expenses
  • KSI programs supporting children and young people

The contribution does not include

  • International flights
  • Visa costs
  • Accommodation
  • Meals
  • Travel insurance
  • Personal expenses

These can be arranged or discussed separately where needed.

Your Stay

What KSI Provides

Before you arrive, we’ll learn about your skills and interests and help connect you with suitable KSI activities. During your stay, a KSI team member will help guide and coordinate your involvement.

If you would like to explore Uganda during your free time, KSI can also help guide you with planning a safari or other personal trips.
